" Competition Routine Tip 29:
Placement for 1st part with counts
"

Cheerwiz.com

[Starting the Routine Section:] When beginning to teach the routine and you have allowed the team to do the beginning without counts, you then need to work on placing each member and adding counts.

Why do this? The team should feel comfortable with the beginning skill(s), so add counts and see how they adapt to it. The team will pick up the routine faster and it makes going through the routine more safe.

Next Tip: Walk with counts
