" Competition Routine Tip 7:
Strong Beginning
"

Cheerwiz.com

When creating your routine, always plan for a Strong begining. This could be a ground up pyramid OR an amazing cheer skill sequence. Pyramids are usually the best because they are BIG, safe to hit, and allow the team to get their nerves out right away. If you have an amazing tumbling, stunting, and/or basket sequence that you know that will hit, that's difficult, and that's new and creative then use that. Just make sure that you are not doing an easy sequence that everyone's seen before.

Why have a strong begining? By having a strong begining, you get the judges and crowds attention right away. This will give you a more intentive crowd during your routine and higher marks from the judges.
