Here are some tips to impress your team as you begin the school year:

.) Improved stunts - Try to come into practice with improved stunts. You could go to a stunt camp, stunt outside of practice, practice at home (balancing), Or even work on your stretching in order to execute NEW stunts. This will definitely make an impression on your coach and other team members.

.) Improved tumbling - Take tumbling classes and/or clean up your previous tumbling skills.

.) Better Flier - Practice and understand important technical skills like holding yourself up, staying tight in a stunt, keeping your chest up, keeping your chin up, squeezing your backspot, and all others. Here are some other articles:

.) Confidence - Don't hold back and have confidence in your tumbling, stunting, cheers/chants, dancing, baskets, pyramids, and your overall approach to cheerleading.

.) Leader - Take time to help others and this will not only help the team, but will also impress the squad.

.) Attitude - Always come into practice with a positive attitude. It will make you more approachable, make practice more enjoyable, and make you a favorable person.

.) In shape- Make sure you come into pratice in shape and with the proper endurance. It will impress your team if you are still going when everyone else is tired.

.) Knowledge - Come into practice with a better understanding of cheerleading. Things like knowing and sharing how stunts work, how to make yourself lighter, how to hit a better toe touch, how to hit a better pyramid, etc. will impress your team and coach as well as make you a better cheerleader.
