"How to impress your coach to begin the year "

With school beginning in the next month it's always good to make a good impression on your coach. Here are some tips how.

1.) Have a Great attitude - Come into practice with a smile and be ready to go.

2.) Be confident - Don't be hesitant in what you do. Know that you can hit that liberty OR stick that backhandspring.

3.) Come in with better skills - Take tumbling OR stunting classes before school starts to help refine your skills.

4.) Come in with better flexibility - Stretch daily so that your jumps are better, you can hit new stunts, and your chance for injury has decreased.

5.) Do what the coach asks - When the coach says something, then "DO it!" This will make you very coachable.

6.) Ask questions - Ask questions like "What am I doing wrong?", "What can I do to make the team better?", and "What are your looking for?" from the coach. It will let the coach know that you are interested in being better.

7.) Stay after and practice - Instead of heading out the door right away, try to stick after a little longer and practice some more. The coach will notice the extra work that you are putting into refining your skills.

8.) Help others - This will NOT only help your team, but will help the coach as well. This will show the coach that you have leadership skills and you have a good idea what you are doing.

9.) Always be willing - Always be willing to try something new, willing to help pick up, and be optimistic about what's being said. This will make you a great asset to the team.
