"Why can I NOT get around on my backhandspring?"

Here are some tips to help you get around on your backhandspring:

1.) Jump - Are you jumping off of the ground OR are you just throwing your arms. Make sure you get some power into your standing backhanspring by jumping off of the ground.

2.) Don't dip too much - Dipping too much will take away from your jump and take the power away from your skill.

3.) Technique - Making sure you are throwing straight, placing your arms straight above your head, and jumping the correct way. All will help you get your backhandspring around easier.

4.) Push off - Make sure you have the stregnth in your shoulders to give a good push off of the ground to get your shoulders up and help snap your feet to the ground.

5.) Abs - Use your abs to snap those feet down. Don't drag your feet behind you OR they will never make it.
