"Push before you step up"

Fliers need to remember to "Push before you step up" when doing walk in stunt.

What does this mean? When the flier steps into a walk-in she needs to think about pushing straight down through the base's shoulders first, then lift up with her chest and step up into the stunt.

Many fliers will tend to step up beforehand OR even at the same time as they push. Pushing first will give the lift momentum and make the stunt feel lighter.
