"How to regrab for the pop down"
Cheerwiz.com  When popping down from single base stunts, the regrab is something that should not be taken lightly. The regrab occurs when the a flier grabs the base's wrists and the base catches the flier's waist when she is popped down. It seems pretty simple, but here are a couple of ways to make it better: 1. (flier) Hands needs to be ready to catch at your waist. Not out wide OR you might miss. 2. (flier) Grab firmly. 3. (flier) Resist as you regrab. This will make it easier for the base to slow you down without having to squeeze so hard on your waist. 4. (flier) Keep your head up so your chest does not lean forward. 5. (flier) Keep your chest up, or your weight will take you forward. 6. (flier) Lean slightly back into the base, so he/she can use more of his/her chest to slow you down. 7. (flier) Land on your toes and absorb your landing through your legs. 8. (base) Jump up for the flier to reach her at a higher point. 9. (base) Catch her waist firmly. 10. (base) Resist as the flier comes down, so the impact as she hits the ground is less. 11. (base) Absorb with your legs.
