Cheerwiz.com  What are toss drills? Toss drills are drills that cheerleaders do to work on their toss. This could be a toss stunt, a toss for a basket, or even a toe pitch toss. Just have the cheerleaders toss the flier up then catch her on the way down. Make sure the flier only concentrates on the toss and does not hit an additional skill on the way up. You only want the flier to work on the toss, then wait a second after the catch and toss her again. Why is this useful? It teaches all of the cheerleaders involved to work on their basics. In this instance it is the toss that they are working on. From this you can improve their toss without them having to worry about any additional skills that could be throwing off their concentration.
