"Tips for a Hitch"

Hitches are common for every type of squad. Here are some tips to make them easier:

1.) Place at a diagonal - The couple/pod doing the hitch needs to be placed at a diagonal to the Hitchee. NOT to the side and NOT directly back. This makes it easier for the flier to hitch.

2.) Don't drag (base)- Don't grab and drag the flier's foot to you. This will make her fall.

3.) Hold your weight (flier)- Hold your own weight for your hitching leg as the hitch is only an eye catching effect. This insures that you will hit the stunt even if your hitchee falls.

4.) Give Toe (flier)- Hitch with your toe and not your heel. You don't want your heel to get caught up.

5.) Let go for fall (base)- If the flier falls, let go of your foot. This is so the flier does not fall head first.

6.) Let go for cradle (base)- This insures that the flier's foot is not caught up as she comes down for the cradle.

7.) Reach for it (base)- If the flier is unable to reach with her foot, help her out and reach for it. Still remember to NOT pull it to you.

8.) Don't adjust her foot (base)- Keep what you have. Any adjustments may make the flier fall.
