" Cheerleading Formation Tips"

Here are a few Tips to help you set up your formations:

1.) Best in view - Place your better people in front and center.

2.) Hide the BAD - Place your BAD people behind others OR off to the side.

3.) Not too close - Make sure that they are NOT too close which could make them uncomfortable OR even hit the other.

4.) NOT too far - If they are too far apart, then you will see everyone, ...even the mistakes.

5.) Problems with lines - If you are doing a line OR a V, it can be difficult keeping them straight.

6.) Easy viewing formations - Diamonds, Triangles, Squares are all easy viewable formations. They are easy to maintain, and even the less aware eye can decipher them. Be careful that your formation is NOT so crazy that it doesn't look quite right.

7.) Be aware of your surroundings - If you are on a football field, then you want to spread it out. When you are on a sideline, then you want a line formation. When you are on a basketball court you may want a closer formation. Just be aware of your surroundings, the view, and your audience when creating your formations.
