" Step in" VS "Jump in"

Cheerwiz.com

There are two typical ways for a flier to enter an elevator and/or basket. They can Step In OR they can Jump In. So what's the correct way?

There is really NO correct way, but they each have their own positives. The Step In allows you to get perfect feet position each time. All you have to do is place 1 foot in there and your good to go,...well as long as you can get your other foot in.

The Jump In is Great for momentum and power. Though you risk missing proper foot placement, it is easier to get up in the elevator OR fly higher in the baskets as your timing and momentum is NOT delayed.

Work on both ways, but make sure your team decides one or the other when stunting in games and/or competitions.
