"8 Different Ways to get into a shoulder stand"

The shoulder stand is a key stunt in cheerleading. Here are some different ways to get up into it:

1.) Pop back shouler stand - click here for instructions


2.) Post up shoulder stand - click here for instructions


3.) Calf pop - Have the flier grab a thumb to thumb grip while standing behing the base. Now have the base place a leg back so the flier can place her foot on the calf. On count have the flier dip and jump, and push through the hands of the base as they stand up and pop their hands straight up.


4) Purdue up - click here for instructions


5.) Hands,..pop back shoulders - Start with a toss hands, then pop the flier back to your shoulders.


6.) Walk-up shoulder stand - click here for instructions
