"8 basket toss Tips for Bases"

Cheerwiz.com

1.) Have a loose but firm grip- Your grip should be flexible, like a rubber band. If it is too stiff then, then your will have less momentum and a lower toss.

2.) Make sure your back is straight - If your bend down, then you will have a tendancy to use/throw with your back instead of your legs which will give you a lower basket.

3.) Make sure your feet are shoulder width apart - It will give you stability while at the same time allow you to use your legs effectively.

4.) Meet the flier - Lift your grip up and meet the flier to get early timing down.

5.) Jump off the ground - This will make you use your legs to their fullest and give you a higher basket.

6.) Finish through - You need to use your arms to finish through the throw and make your basket just a tad bit higher.

7.) Timing - Find your timing with the other base, and once you have it down your basket will sky.
