"6 flier tips for a Higher Basket TOss"

Cheerwiz.com

1.) Jump in - Get a good jump off of the ground so that you are lifting yourself into the basket. THis way you can get a good look at the basket as you jump in.

2.) Hold - Push down on the bases shoulders as to hold yourself up. This will keep your weight off of the basket, and help initiate a higher toss.

3.) Placement - Look down to where you are placing your feet. Any wrong placement can cause the basket to throw wrong.

4.) Positioning - Make sure your shoulders, knees, and toes are all in line, and your hips are square.

5.) Ride - Hold your position and don't loose your position as the bases toss. Give a little shrug through the shoulders and give a strong lift with your arms.

6.) Technique - Practice, concentrate, and learn your body postioning in the air. This is the hardest thing to learn so watch everyone, get advice, and have confidence so that you will be ready for your turn.
