Start with an
Elevator
Flier-Star with your arms up in a
Hi-V. As the bases dip for the pop do remain tight and do not bend
your legs. The bases need to have something to throw and if you bend
your legs then you are absorbing their throw. As the base throw you
straight up, begin pulling your leg arm down around your lower back,
your right arm across your belly to your left hip, your right hip up,
and tuck your chin to your left shoulder. You are fulling at this
point and need to remain tight. AS you come around after eyeing the
ground, open up your arms to get ready to catch your bases. AS you
feel their shoulders, grab and squeeze tight. Plan on catching
yourself at all times.
Base(s) - face across one another in an elevator. On count, dip
with your legs, an pop the flier's legs up and slightly to the right
(you are guiding her around for the full). Keep your arms up. As the
flier comes around, catch your flier high with your arms, then absorb
and squeeze her into your body for the finish.
Backspot - Start in the back of an elevator. Place your hand on
the flier's ankles. On count dip with the elevator. As the flier is
thrown in the air by the bases, guide her right ankle forward to
assist her with the placement of full for the catch. Keep your arms up
and wait for the flier to come around. As you begin to feel her coming
through the full, grab high for the flier's armpits and push your arms
through (remember to keep your hands in fists), and squeeze the flier
in safely.
Flier-Stay
as tight as possible. Lifting up with your shoulders, hollowing out,
and squeezing your abs and backside will do this. With your hands at
your side hold your position as the bases extend. When you hit the
top, hold your head up and finish with a Hi-V.
TIP:
If one base is weaker than the other and timing is off, make sure you
just stay tight. DO NOT try to compensate by bending either one of
your legs OR the base that is holding your straight leg foot will get
all of the weight.
TIP:
If the other base is struggling, make sure you wait for him/her to
catch up to you OR the stunt will fall if they do not have the
strength to finish. |
