Start with an
Elevator
Flier-Stay
as tight as possible. Lifting up with your shoulders, hollowing out,
and squeezing your abs and backside will do this. With your hands at
your side hold your position as the bases extend and bring your feet. When you hit the
top, hold your head up and finish with a Hi-V.
TIP:
If one base is weaker than the other and timing is off, make sure you
just stay tight. DO NOT try to compensate by bending either one of
your legs OR the base that is holding your straight leg foot will get
all of the weight.
Back spot-
Place your hands on the corresponding ankles of the flier. On count
squeeze and lift up on the ankles for the finish.
TIP: If you cannot
reach the fliers ankles at extension, try to grab the bases’ wrists.
Base(s)
- On count dip with your legs and watch one another for timing issues.
As you both come up, press the flier with your arms above your head
and place the flier's feet together.
Make sure that you control the stunt and never just throw her up.
When stable, place your back arm under the foot with you index finger
on the heel. Now release the arm closest to the crowd, place it
on your hip, and turn your body towards the crowd.
Squeeze on the flier’s foot at all times.
TIP:
If the other base is struggling, make sure you wait for him/her to
catch up to you OR the stunt will fall if they do not have the
strength to finish. |
